A two-day intensive course presented by Prof. Dr. Thomas Höpner and Sabine Lattemann (Institute for Chemistry and Biology of the Marine Environment University of Oldenburg, Germany).
After a brief introduction into the desalination technology and the geographical distribution of desalination plants, the training course will focus on the chemical discharges into the sea on the one hand and on the marine ecology of most loaded seas (Arabian Gulf, Red Sea, Mediterranean Sea) on the other. Scope and methodology of environmental impact assessments will be outlined.
An interesting course for students, employees of desalination plants, marine ecologists, official and private interested persons.
